Spring hoops, I like them

by Chris Arlington

I like spring hoops because of the tension.

I always put the hoop on a flat surface place the front of the fabric facing me because after I place the spring hoop I want the back (or smooth side) to be the back surface so that if I temporarily put it down the front won't get dirty because it's inside the hoop.

Plus I see where the spring handles are I position the handles so that the hand I am holding the hoop with covers them.

I never leave my work in any hoop or scroll with tension. I generally remove them when I am finished stitching for the time being.

I love spring hoops and have been using them for about 25 years! I'd love to find some big ones.

spring hoops love em
by: Alice

I too love the spring hoops, so easy to use. Never been sure which is the right or wrong way to use them but I think the advice from the lady in Canada is spot on.
