Stitch'n Time: A free gift to you, my loyal subscriber July 28, 2024 |
DearI'm back! This needlework newsletter has been sitting untouched on my hard drive for far too long, like a forgotten WIP gathering dust in the attic. A recent email from a concerned stitcher, checking in to see if I was okay and had recovered from Covid, to remind me how long it’s been since I shared my passion for stitching with you. Her email was like a gentle nudge, prompting me to dust off the cobwebs and start writing again. One thing that has kept me busy is our new member of the family. No, I am too old for babies! We rescued a neglected pup in need of food, care and training. It’s hard to know what he went through in his first six months, but it took a lot of time and effort to bring the best out of him. He still feels scared of the world around him, even though we live in a peaceful country village. Now, when he gets overwhelmed, he hides behind me instead of lunging and barking in panic. I’m sure you will hear more about Finn in upcoming emails, but I’m here to talk about stitching and the website. Site updatesI've given www.needlework-tips-and-techniques.com a fresh new look! The old dull aqua has been replaced with a bright, clean light blue that welcomes you when you visit.I've also simplified the buttons at the top. Now, all the different techniques are grouped under one button, so you won't have to guess whether something is a counted style or not. Enjoy exploring! My fingers haven’t been still, I have been stitching, writing and even videoing while we have been apart. One of my recent projects has been a crazy quilt block, and I wrote about some changes I made during its creation here. In the process of the same project I added a page on embroidering letters. how-do-you-embroider-letters.html Last but not least...I have a treat for you.I added a planner to my list of products, you can check it out here, BUT don’t buy it! cross-stitch-planner.html As a loyal reader of my occasional newsletter, I’d like to gift it to you! You can head straight to the download page to get your free copy. There’s no obligation, but I would really appreciate your feedback. If you have a moment, I’d love to hear your thoughts in a quick review. Thank you! Here is the download page url... free planner I am currently working on a slow stitching page for the site. I have uploaded a video on this topic if you fancy a peek. slow-stitching-video.html I promise it won’t be so long before I write to you again. Happy stitching.
