used ballpoint pen to mark aida cloth ( I know better now)

Chalk it up to a learning experience and my fabric marker had run dry. I had a HOT PINK ballpoint pen close by that I marked off-white cloth with and then I cross-stitched white thread over it. Months and months have gone by. "I wasn't going to worry about until I was done, it'll be easy to get out just a little dish-soap and water" WRONG!! Vinegar, soda water, mineral spirits, lemon juice are these solvents ok to used on "finished works" or just bare aida cloth?
