Removing the pattern

How do I remove the dye from the stamped pattern after I finish my embroidery? I am embroidering quilt blocks so cannot launder them until put together because of edges raveling. I am working on a project that I started many years ago so the patterns have "set" in I am sure. Thanks for your help.

They usualy rinse out with water even when they are old. If water does not work, chances are it will not come off at all, not all old patterns were temporary. I would try to get the edges serged so you can wash it before assembling.

Stitch the rest complete the project and then wash it.
