Removing blue line on embroidery

by Judith
(New Zealand)

Once I have completed a piece of embroidery I would like to know how to get rid of the blue tracings of the printed pattern on the cloth, which shows at times with pale colours.

Carol answers...

Most embroidery transfer lines are permanent, Judith. They do not normally wash out of the fabric I am afraid.

It is important to try to cover all the blue transfer marks when doing your needlework so that they will not show on the finished piece.
