Quilting dilemma please help

by Kathy
(Elmore, Al.)

I am making a twin size quilt. The delimma is that I have only made a pretty good size lap quilt and it was a stitch and flip pattern.

I like the pattern a lot, but I don't know how much to piece together to make a twin size and still keep the center piece in the center.

I would love to do a different pattern but I want this done pretty quick. It's for my boyfriends daughter and I want to give it to her for her birthday and that's next week. So, I'm thinking that this would be the best idea for me since I have already made something in this pattern and I'm kind of familiar with the instructions.

I'm not an expert sewer, but I can do fairly well. I don't know how to do hand quilting or complicated things, but I can figure things out by myself a lot of the time.

I'm thinking that I pretty much do exactly like the directions say but just keep adding to it.

I don't have any pictures and the only one I would have anyway is the picture of the lap quilt I made and I don't think that would help.

Am I on the right track or way off base? If you know how to help me would you PLEASE HELP? I'm running out of time. Thanks for your help!!!!

You are on the right track. It should be fine to continue adding to it until it is wide enough. Then you will need to continue by only adding to the top & bottom.
