i am in the process of making an embroidery quilt top, and i need to know what stitch i should use.

Oh my goodness, there are many, many stitches you can use on an embroidered crazy quilt block, Maxine.

You can take a look at the stitches listed in my Stitch Index and practise those.

Common stitches used for seams in an embroidered block include, herringbone stitch, chain stitch, feather stitch, chevron stitch, french knots, bullion knots and many more.
