needle size and supplies

Hello all, I want to learn to do embroidery in miniature but I'm totally in the dark about supplies.

I knit and crochet in miniature and I have never tried other types of needlework.

I did buy some books and I can learn from them, I only need the supplies to work with. I have a lot of fabric I can use since I make mini dolls and anything else that's mini. I work in 1/12 scale, maybe some of are familiar with size and you will know exactly what I need. Thanks so much in advance for any help you can give me. Nora Moore
