lacey wrap stitch
by: Liz

I have never heard of a "lacey wrap stitch", but if you are doing cross stitch and want to put a lacy wrap on something, then all you need to do is do a lacey pattern in a single thread over what you want to cover, but make sure you do an edging in 2 threads then you can see where the wrap begins, I am doing a gosamer wrap over a 20's lady in evening dress in black work, and all I have done is sew the edge in running stitch, and the wrap itself in alternate stitches in gold thread, then the dress under the wrap I have done in a lighter shade to make it look like gosamer, and it looks lovely, hope this helps you, I'd love to see the finished work, kind regards Liz
