How should I present needlepoint canvas?
by Beatrice K. Sager

I have done a needlepoint number canvas for a 3 year old great grandson. Should I frame it or make it into a pillow? or is there some other way. I want him to enjoy numbers.
Thanks for your help.

Without seeing the finished needlepoint it is difficult to make suggestions but I will try. :)
If the numbers are in separate areas it may be possible to make the piece up as soft blocks for your great grandson to play with, Beatrice. But if there is no spare canvas around each one to use for the seams then this one is ruled out.
Another idea may be to back it with a firm fabric and make it into a height chart. This would work best if the design is a long rectangular shape.
If the design is square then a pillow is an option. Or maybe a framed piece that could hang on the wall in his room?
If you would like to use my contact form to get in touch, I will then reply and you could send me a photograph of the piece of needlepoint. Maybe then I could come up with some other suggestions for you.
