How many strands on 32 count embroidery fabric

I am cross stitching over two threads on 32 count linen but am confused about how many strands of embroidery floss to use. Two or three?

It depends on how heavy you want the stitches to be. You could use 2 or 3; I'd just stitch a few stitches both ways to see what you like best. Work a block of 16 stitches, 4 x 4 to see how heavy the coverage will be.
