how do i make a picture graph for crochet

I want to learn how to make my own graph of a picture. I want to crochet the blanket from the graph, can you please tell me how to put a picture into a graph and print it off with the grid lines showing. I'd like the graph to be 80 x 112 little squares.

You can also try putting the picture into the knitpro program on microrevolt.org. It's a free program and will graph out the clip art into an easy to read graph for crochet or knitting.

Making a Graph Ghan

When you are making a graph afghan I use a single crochet stitch. Each square on the graph represents 1 stitch, count the squares and when you come to the picture add new color, keeping old color handy for coming back. As the colors change, change the thread. I go from left to right then turn and come back across pattern from right to left.
