Help to remove Sharpie pen ink from x-stitch

I have a stain on my finished cross-stitch. It's a Sharpie pen stain that has dried for many months. It's in the sky, between a tree and the top of Noah's Ark, so there isn't much space between the 3.

Sharpie is just about impossible to remove; they don't call it permanent for nothing. :>(

I would stitch a cloud over the stain.
