hardanger stitches

by Ann
(Liverpool,NY)

Are these hardanger stitches the same but they have different names?

The first set is mini pinwheels and woven spiderweb.

The second is adjourning wrap, spokes, webs and woven bars. These seem to be the same stitch with 2 differences: the first being where they go, as diagonally across(corner to corner, forming an X), or middle to middle(forming a cross),the second difference is if there is a single bar or double.

I have a book showing me the different stitches and have read yours. The questions come from my pattern which was from a different pamphlet.

Thank you for your help.

Ann
