Foam core board

What thickness of foam core should be used for framing a piece of cross-stitch?

Carol writes...

I like to use a 5mm thick foam core board if I can get it. This is thick enough without being too thick. For frames with a narrower rebate you may only be able to fit a 3mm board in them.

I explain my method of framing a cross stitch piece using this, on the site...

You can also get a really thick 10mm foam core board but this is really too thick for our use, in my opinion.

If you cannot find an art shop locally there is an online supplier of foam core board.

If you are based in the UK you can also order it from www.greatart.co.uk online.
