dmc/anchor thread charts

Can I get a chart that converts Anchor embroidery threads to DMC embroidery thread numbers. I have all DMC threads but a chart I want to cross stitch is in Anchor.

Silks or Embroidery Floss?
by: Debbie Rice

I'm not sure about silks but the embroidery flosses had some color shifts.

DMC set of color changes documented at http://home.comcast.net/~kathydyer/nf_fibers.html#dmc_color_changes

A good conversion chart for older colors is at http://yarntree.com/018anchc.pdf for Anchor to DMC and http://yarntree.com/019dmccn.pdf for DMC to Anchor.

For most silk threads, like knitting yarns, they had dye lots to factor in versus just the color number. But I haven't had any experience with Anchor silks and never even saw in stores back in 1970s.

DMC/Anchor thread conversion
by: Annie

If you go to www.sewandso.co.uk you will find floss conversions under "More to Explore" on the left hand side. I use this a lot and find it is really quite accurate.
