DMC skein in one strand?

DMC skein in one strand?

I'm starting on my counted cross stitch project for 4-H.

I was wondering how I should cut my floss because it came in one strand, and I don't remember what i did last year.

Please help!!

Yes, cut the floss.

Yes, you need to cut the floss. You also need to separate the strands of floss. It depends on the count of the aida that you are using as to how many strands you will use. Most of the times two strands is needed. Check out Carol's instructions on this site. They are pretty clear.
