DMC embroidery thread bleeding

The red DMC embroidery thread I used bled into the fabric, causing a blurred effect. I thought that DMC was not supposed to bleed?

Bleeding DMC embroidery floss

I have had the same problem with red / purple and some blue DMC bleeding. Have not found a solution - but there are a lot of Grrrrrrr's coming from this corner after spending about 800 hours on a project.

I made a set of lovely dishtowels using DMC embroidery floss. When i washed them after completion the dark purple floss bled all over the towels that i used it on. I too would like some idea how to get this bleeding out.

Me too! Any suggestions, anyone??? I'd hate to discard the project, after so much effort!
