Divinity - Textures to Dye for needlepoint

This was the larger of the Textures To Dye For range that I did, and was a perfect center piece on the wall of my Textures pieces.

I love these charts, they are so easy to follow, each stitch on the band a different colour, and once you get started on them it's just hard to put them down.

I'm always pestering Carol to design more of them, as I have the back side to the archway where I could display at least 8 more ;)

I did this piece using DMC perle #5 and it had a lovely coverage on the fabric, which was only your basic 14 count white aida, and when I took these pieces to the framers to choose the frames, he commented on how lovely they were too and asked how I had done them.

Erica,

You really are addicted to these needlepoint patterns aren't you? Yes I will be designing more new ones, don't panic.

Divinity although the largest in the range is also the simplest to do with few stitches to learn and looks lovely in the three tones you chose.

I will be uploading the whole Textures to Dye for range to the site shortly, all nine of them.

I like the texture created by the use of a monochromatic palette. Maybe could use more textural stitches - lots of counted satin stitches used.
