Cross stitch pattern from photo

by Rachel Berry
(Nicholasville, KY)

I am looking for a computer program that will scan a photo so you can cross stitch the picture. I am wanting to cross stitch a picture of my parents (both are deceased) to give to my siblings and nieces and nephews.

Could you be of any assistance where I might find this program?

Rachel,

There are a number of cross stitch design programs out there, that will do what you want. One piece of cross stitch software that I use is EasyCross and it will do everything you need.

I recently wrote a page on just how to create a cross stitch pattern from your photo and you will find it here.

You can even scan the photo into the computer inside the program! Most other programs leave you to get the photo into digital form some other way.

EasyCross was created by Colin Fulford here in the UK but he ships worldwide. You can order three different versions straight off this website here.

Please shout if you need any more information.
