First, thankyou carol for your reply, I am new to this site so still figuring out how to work it and hope this is where i contact you.

The fabric they suggest is aida cloth (either 14 or 16 ct).

What would happen if I just stiched over 1 square of aida instead of the suggested 2 squares [would it look awful]?

I am not the best sewer, knitter or anything crafty, but always trying to learn as I find it relaxing.

Can you let me know what you think?
