How do I remove stains from DMC floss?

by Rebeca
(Florida)

I just finished a cross stitch project using DMC floss.

I washed the finished work with mild soap and water but one of the brown floss stained part of my work. I found the stains when the project had been dried, tried again to soak it in water and clean it with soap but the stains are still there. Is there anyway I can remove these stains.

Help!!! this is a nice work and I spent many hours on it. I want to frame it but, if possible without the stains. Thanks!!!

Fabric stained by the thread colour

by Mdm NORLIAH
(Malaysia)

I felt so very frustrated when my hardanger work was stained by the colour of the thread itself. One of my works was stained by the red colour thread and another was by the variegated. The stain really spoiled my beautiful hard work and I am very disappointed. All these while I have been using DMC thread.

I shall be very happy if anyone could help me on how to get rid of the stain. Thank you.

Aida Cloth stain removal

by Kathy
(Boynton Beach, FL)

The navy blue tote bag where I keep my cross-stitch project was saturated during a hurricane and I didn't realize it for a couple months. This blue bled into the Aida cloth. I have tried removing it with OxyClean and then Carbona dye run remover to no avail. I would like help in suggestions of how to remove this stain. Thank you for your suggestions.

by Ann
(Lubbock, TX)

I ironed the jacket and got the thread wet. Unknowing to me, I drug the stain with the iron. How can I get this out?
