Changing Belfast linen to Aida

I want to know if I can change Belfast linen 32 ct. to Aida cloth. But I don't know what size I need to use. Can you help me figure it out?

If the embroidery was to be done over 2 threads then the project would end up the same size if you work it on 16 count Aida, Beth.
