Stitchin'Time - free whitework ebook March 04, 2011 |
How are your new year's resolutions going?I'm not doing so bad myself. I sat and planned out my objectives for 2011 back in December, after finishing writing my Stitch Your Own Business ebook. With 6 web sites I had begun to get seriously behind! But things are now back on track, I am pleased to say.I was delighted with the response to my new book. And the comments that flooded in were amazing. It seems many of you had been waiting for just such a guide to starting your own needlework design business. May I wish you all the best in your endeavours. I recently completed another ebook - much smaller this time. It is the accumulated instructions, diagrams and complete chart for the whitework sampler we created as a Stitch-a-long in this newsletter. You can now download it for free from the following link...
Updates to the siteThere have been a number of additions to the site since the New Year began.1. If like me you are suffering with short-arm syndrome, you may well find the benefits in magnifying lamps, this new page explores them and hopefully allows you to make an informed choice: 2. Due to popular demand, I have been asked to supply the Heron cross-stitch design that I used as an example in my framing cross stitch article, so you are now able to purchase this pattern here: 3. With the new Embroidery Thread Conversion Chart, you will now be able to use a chart designed for one brand of embroidery floss, if you only have a different brand available: 4. If you can't do as much embroidery as you wish due to RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) you might find the tips on this page useful:
Village LifeWe enjoyed a wonderful Christmas at my sister's, even though travelling was not much fun due to wintery weather starting early in December. My sister lives just over an hour away from us, and they had more snow that we did, making our Christmas morning walk a very slippery affair. Poppy, our little Jack Russell terrier, came with us and very nearly pulled me over many times! As March begins the weather is much more pleasant, and the snowdrops are blooming and the daffodil buds are forming. Dare I dream that Spring is just around the corner? Sadly there was no village pantomime this year. There were difficulties in getting enough people interested in taking part. Maybe next year?
I made a decision!Rather than keep apologising because my newsletters kept slipping back, I have decided to officially make them bi-monthly instead of monthly. Even so this should have been the February issue, but a throat infection put paid to that plan. The antibiotics are working now and my head is functioning properly again, so I hope you forgive me for slipping into the beginning of March.
Thank you for subscribingLastly I would like to thank everyone of you for signing up for my newsletter. If you know anyone else that might like to receive it please let them know.
Regards,
Carol
