Stitchin'Time - launch of new ebook December 15, 2010 |
That was the year that was!I can't believe it is almost the end of 2010 already! I seem to blink and another month has passed me by. But although I haven't managed to keep the newsletter on schedule, I can assure you that I haven't been resting on my laurels or sunning myself in warmer climes. I have in fact been at home in the village, turning a little older, a little wiser and a lot busier to say the least...
An important announcementMy poor fingers are quite worn to the bone, as I have been typing for what seems like years. Actually it took me over two years for this latest project, but I can finally say it is complete.Yes, for all you budding cross stitch designers out there, my ebook is now available. If you have ever thought about designing your own patterns for sale as kits, charts or to magazines then you will find all you need to know packed into this 121 page ebook. Stitch Your Own Business has been launched today, but I haven't forgotten that I promised a special launch price for all my subscribers. You can read all about what the books contains here... but don't use the link on that page to order your launch copy. Instead use the PayPal link below to save almost $10 and get yours for just $25! And before I forget, congratulations to Beth for suggesting the name, and yes a free copy of the book is winging its way to you. I hope the ebook offers every budding entrepreneur the support that I was never afforded in setting up my own needlework business. Giving you the chance to learn from the mistakes that I made, without having to suffer the cost of making those mistakes yourself. Insight and wisdom are wonderful, but only any use if you part with them!
Family newsHere in the UK, w e are back in the harshness of winter, and I am striving to keep warm, in a somewhat cold office! There have been some fabulous events over the summer months, starting with the fact that I celebrated a rather special birthday! I had a wonderful day, celebrating with my family, seeing the little ones play in the garden on a beautiful English summer's day, helped along, of course, by a nice glass of bubbly and strawberries and cream, yum! This was not the only event this year. I also have the delight in telling you that my baby boy, got married! Alice and Ben took their vows on the 9th of August, and celebrated in a quiet manner, with a few days in London and Paris. I couldn't have wished for a nicer daughter-in-law. Oh, and we had another addition to the family. Roger came home from work to tell me about a new love of his life. "She is a young border collie," he told me. "She is lovely and needs a new home. I just know you would love her." After 3 days of him extolling the virtues of this young dog, I gave in and agreed to go and have a look. Imagine my surprise when the "border collie" turned out to be a border terrier cross Jack Russell! But that cute face and whiskers won me over and Poppy came home with me to keep Skye company. I took a couple of vides of the two of them together which you can watch here... She won't, of course, replace poor Clover who we lost last Christmas but she is a little character in her own right. I am sure I will share more stories of her escapades in the future.
Site NewsWith all the writing for the book, I haven't had a chance to add many new pages to the site of my own. But there is one rather special page to share. Averi wrote in asking if I would like to see her mother's embroidered projects. I was delighted to be asked and was duly sent some wonderful photos which I uploaded here...I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I did. Well hubby has just called me for dinner (yes I have got him well trained) so I'd better sign off and go eat.
Thank you for subscribingLastly I would like to thank everyone of you for signing up for my newsletter. If you know anyone else that might like to receive it please let them know.
Regards,
Carol
