Welcome back to the Stitchin'Time ezine. I hope you had a wonderful holiday, whatever you celebrate. And I would like to wish you a happy new year for 2007.I have had exciting things to celebrate since the last issue!
New additions to the family
I am now grandmother to a second grandson. Little Logan reminds me so much of his brother Rocca as a baby. We travelled down to their new home to visit just before Christmas.Our own home has a new addition too. Ours has four legs and a fluffy coat. Her name is Skye and she is a springer spaniel cross labrador puppy. I uploaded a video of my 2 year old grandson and the puppy playing which is really funny. WARNING: don't try to take a drink at the same time as watching it or you may splutter!
New pages on the site
You may have noticed the beginnings of a Whitework section appearing at http://www.needlework-tips-and-techniques.com , I hope to include workshops on various whitework techniques over the coming weeks. To get you started there are lessons on hardanger and pulled work. Liz Bartlett, author of Lace Villages, has also been kind enough to write a page on the history of needlelace.If you popped in to the about me page you may have seen another video there. This was recorded in response to a challenge from Ken Evoy who hosts the site. His company SBI or Site Build It! supplies the webspace, tools, help and everything else needed to put needlework-tips-and-techniques up on the web. Even for someone like me, who is not technically minded when it comes to computers.

Up the Garden Path - Blackwork band sampler
